Our Team
Piopiotahi / Milford Sound is one of the most breathtaking places on earth, and sharing it with our guests is what our team does best. Behind every cruise, coach trip and flight is a group of people who genuinely love this place and want every visitor to experience it safely, comfortably and unforgettably.
On the Water
Our skippers and crew are highly experienced and live locally in Milford Sound. They know the waterways of Fiordland, every waterfall, and many of the places where wildlife is likely to appear. But their knowledge goes well beyond navigating these spectacular waters. They’re natural storytellers, bringing the landscape to life through live commentary about Fiordland’s history, geology, wildlife and legends. Safety always comes first, but it’s our crew’s warmth, knowledge and genuine enthusiasm that can turn a scenic cruise into a truly memorable experience.
On the Road
Our driver guides make the journey to Milford Sound an experience in its own right. With deep local knowledge of Fiordland National Park, they share stories and insights about the landscapes you’re travelling through, point out photo opportunities and help you discover the places you might otherwise drive straight past. They make sure the journey is comfortable, informative and enjoyable, because getting to Milford Sound is all part of the experience.
In the Office & On the Ground
From our Queenstown store to the Milford Sound Visitor Terminal, our front-of-house team are often the first and last faces of your Pure Milford experience. They’re here to help with bookings, answer questions and make sure everything runs smoothly — from check-in and boarding to helping you find your way and making the most of your time in Fiordland.
