Pure Milford’s enchanting crew will share what they know about their place, point out their flora and fauna neighbours, and dance beneath the waterfalls. Welcome aboard the Gem of the Sound, Piopiotahi / Milford’s only glass roof vessel guaranteeing you the best viewing opportunities in the fiord.
This custom built catamaran has been specifically designed with Piopiotahi Milford in mind with her spacious viewing decks, covered outdoor seating area, comfortable booth seating and large windows throughout.
Skipper controlled remote HD cameras project live outdoor footage onto TV screens throughout the boat ensuring you won’t miss a moment of Piopiotahi / Milford no matter where you are on board.

Dining on board
The scenic on-board Café/Bar serves up a variety of hot and cold refreshments throughout the cruise to keep those sightseeing hunger pangs at bay. Tea and coffee is complimentary.
Choose from a variety of local beers, wines, soup, sandwiches and other grab and go options as well as soft drinks and confectionary.
We do not sell products containing peanuts, and have options for gluten free, dairy free, vegan and vegetarian requirements.
