Enjoy the educational and informative commentary from our experienced driver guides as you travel through Fiordland’s famous National Park with plenty of short walks and photo stops at iconic spots such as Eglinton Valley, Mirror Lakes, Knobs Flat and more. On arrival at Milford Sound, board one of our modern catamarans for an informative exploration of the region’s most famous fiord. Pure Milford’s enchanting crew will share what they know about their place, point out their flora and fauna neighbours, and dance beneath the waterfalls. Tea, coffee, and lunch are complimentary and served from the licenced Café / Bar. Optional fly back upgrades available to Queenstown at the time of booking. Return time from Queenstown is 12 hours; 8 hours from Te Anau.

Tours meeting Gem of the Sound depart Queenstown at 7:15am, and Te Anau at 10am.

Welcome aboard the Gem of the Sound, Piopiotahi / Milford’s only glass roof vessel guaranteeing you the best viewing opportunities in the fiord. 

This custom built catamaran has been specifically designed with Piopiotahi Milford in mind with her spacious viewing decks, covered outdoor seating area, comfortable booth seating and large windows throughout.

Skipper controlled remote HD cameras project live outdoor footage onto TV screens throughout the boat ensuring you won’t miss a moment of Piopiotahi / Milford no matter where you are on board.

To meet the Gem of the Sound, choose the 7:15am departure from Queenstown, or 10am departure from Te Anau.

Welcome aboard the Maiden of Milford, our most recently refurbished stunning sightseeing catamaran.  

This incredibly spacious, light and airy vessel has large windows throughout, as well as a fully open top deck allowing for breathtaking 360 views of the fiord.

The on-board Cafe/Bar offers delicious refreshments throughout the cruise, with the option to purchase local beverages from the upstairs Minibar.
