March 2026 Job listing

Boat / Galley Crew

Maiden of Milford at Piopiotahi / Milford Sound

Our Milford Sound team is expanding and we are looking for a new administration superstar!

We are looking for an experienced and people-focused Milford Office Administrator to lead our Milford office operations. This is a unique opportunity to combine your love of people, administration, tourism, and nature, all while working in one of the most breath-taking places in the world.

This is a permanent, full-time position available from end April 2026.

You will be based in Piopiotahi / Milford Sound, with accommodation, utilities, and some food provided as part of your employment package.

You will be the frontline representative for Pure Milford in our Milford office, leading the office team, managing daily administration, coordinating with vessel crew and Queenstown teams, and ensuring our guests receive exceptional service from arrival to departure.

Your responsibilities will include:

-Managing daily office administration, reporting, and cash reconciliation

-Supporting bookings, check-ins, and walk-up sales

-Leading and mentoring the Milford office team

-Coordinating closely with skippers, crew, coach drivers, and flight partners

-Overseeing staff accommodation processes and uniform management

-Maintaining strong communication between Milford and Queenstown teams

-Upholding brand standards, compliance, and safety processes

Shift Pattern & Lifestyle

We offer full-time hours, with a guaranteed minimum of 30 hours per week / 60 hours per fortnight.

Your shift pattern will typically be 10 days on, followed by 4 days off (or similar), giving you the opportunity to explore Fiordland and the wider region on your days off.

You will live in shared staff accommodation with your own private room, so being comfortable living in a remote location and within a team environment is important.

About You

You’re organised, resilient, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. You’re confident leading a team while also rolling up your sleeves to support when needed.

You’ll bring:

-Minimum 2 years’ experience in tourism, retail, or hospitality

-Strong administration and reporting capability

-Proven leadership and team mentoring skills

-Excellent customer service and sales ability

-A full NZ driver licence (or recognised overseas equivalent)

-NZ work rights with no restrictions

Experience working in remote locations or shared staff accommodation is beneficial, but not essential.

Most importantly, you’re positive, adaptable, and excited about living and working in one of the most extraordinary environments in the world!

If you have the right skills and are ready for a lifestyle adventure, we would love to welcome you aboard.
